Live performances brought The Spirits of Maritime Crossing 2026 into motion at Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù, transforming the exhibition into a space of sound, movement, reflection, and shared presence.
Amanda Coogan, Pichet Klunchun, Mutmee Pimdao Panichsamai, and Aleksandar Timotić explored themes connected to the spirit of the Spirits of Maritime Crossing II film through a series of performances and operatic elements that moved between ritual, memory, and human connection. Each work unfolded differently, inviting audiences into moments that felt both deeply personal and collective.
In the courtyard, Arahmaiani’s meditative drum performance echoed through the space alongside spoken reflections calling for peace, unity, and coexistence, a reminder of the exhibition’s ongoing dialogue around humanity, crossing, and resilience.
